The client profile at a glance

Everything you hold on one client sits behind Manage client: their program, their targets, their logs and their preferences. What each part is for, and the two fields you cannot touch.

Topics: Clients

Tap a client on your dashboard and everything you hold on them is in one place. It is worth a tour, because several things coaches go looking for in settings actually live here, per client.

Their program

Workouts and the exercises inside them, in the order the client sees them. You can add a workout, edit one, reorder them, and reorder the exercises within a workout. Order is not cosmetic. It is the sequence your client works through.

Their numbers

  • Body metrics: sex, date of birth, height and activity level. These feed the calculators.
  • Weight goal: goal weight and a target date.
  • Calorie goal: daily or weekly.
  • Macronutrient distribution: in grams or as a percentage.

These are the targets your client sees in Workout Titan Nutrition. Setting them here is what makes their goals read as managed by their coach in that app.

Check one thing before you set a target date. A client who has never logged a weight gives the app no starting point to measure against, and it says so. Log one, or ask them to, first. Setting a client's body metrics and targets covers each of these fields in more depth.

The calculators behind these numbers produce estimates. A target is a starting point to track against and adjust from, rather than a figure to hit exactly.

Their logs

Weight logs, body measurements and, where the client has nutrition logging enabled, their food diary. You can log weight and measurements on a client's behalf, which is what the in-person sessions are for.

Their preferences

Whether they can log nutrition, whether they can log weight, how their sessions are organized, and whether a payment reminder shows. These are switches you own, not requests. They change what the client can do in their own app.

The two things you cannot change

Their name and their email address. Try to edit either and Workout Titan Coaching tells you that only the client can update it. This is deliberate: those two fields are their identity and their route back into the account, so they are not yours to edit. If a client has changed their name or lost access to an email address, they change it themselves in Manage account.

Notes

There is a notes field on the profile for the things that do not fit anywhere else: an injury history, what they respond to, what happened last block. Nothing is done with it automatically. It is there so the context sits alongside the program rather than in your head.

Keep them about the coaching. The same rule applies here as everywhere else in the product: notes must not contain personal or private information. Coaching notes drift toward health details if you let them.
