Workout Titan Coaching vs TrueCoach
How Workout Titan Coaching and Basecamp compare with TrueCoach on price, the exercise library, nutrition, payments and wearables, offline use and languages.
We make Workout Titan Coaching, so we have a stake in this. How we kept it fair
The short answer
Choose Workout Titan Coaching if you want a free plan for three real clients, lower prices in your own currency, a phone app that works without signal, clients in six languages, and Basecamp, a desktop workspace included on every plan. Choose TrueCoach if you want a 3,000-video exercise library, templates, built-in payments at no extra charge, and Garmin, WHOOP or Oura data on your dashboard.

Choose Workout Titan Coaching if…
- you have three clients or fewer and want a free plan rather than a 14-day trial
- you coach in German, French, Spanish or Portuguese as well as English
- your clients train in gyms with poor signal
- you want a browser workspace with tabs, sticky notes and every client's numbers on one screen, at no extra cost
- you want nutrition logging your clients can use free, with the source and confidence shown on every entry
- you would rather pay in pounds or euros through your app store than in US dollars
Choose TrueCoach if…
- you want a ready-made library of 3,000+ exercise videos and reusable workout templates
- you want to take payments inside the coaching platform without a separate tool
- your clients wear Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, Polar or Fitbit devices and you want their sleep and heart rate on your dashboard
- you want a branded client app and a public coach profile
- you run groups and want group messaging with photos and videos
Pricing
Winner: Workout Titan CoachingWorkout Titan Coaching is free for three clients and costs less at every roster size; TrueCoach has no free plan and starts at about $26 a month for five clients, but includes payments and wearables without add-on fees.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Foundation: free for up to 3 clients, with no time limit
- Momentum £19.99 a month for 5 clients; Performance £39.99 for 25; Infinity £89.99 for unlimited (around 20% less paid annually)
- Priced in your local currency through Apple or Google, so no exchange fees
- Basecamp, the web platform, is included on every plan, free plan included
- Clients never pay, and keep read-only access to their programmes if you stop
TrueCoach
- No free plan; 14-day trial, no card needed
- Starter $26.34 a month for 5 clients, Standard $57.99 for 20, Pro $136.99 for 50, all paid annually; monthly billing costs more
- Custom pricing above 250 clients
- No add-on fees: payments, branded app and wearables are included, though the last two need Standard or above
- Priced in US dollars only; 90-day money-back guarantee on a first annual plan
More on Pricing
The two ladders are built differently. TrueCoach sells three fixed tiers by client count and puts its business features on the middle one, so a coach who wants wearables or a branded app is on Standard at $57.99 a month whether they have six clients or twenty. Workout Titan Coaching has four plans with every feature in each, and the only decision is how many clients you need room for. At five clients the gap is £19.99 against roughly $26; at twenty to twenty-five it is £39.99 against $57.99. TrueCoach’s advantage is what the price includes: taking payments costs nothing extra. Workout Titan does not take payments at all.
Building programmes
Winner: TrueCoachTrueCoach gives you 3,000+ demonstration videos, drag-and-drop templates and printable PDFs; Workout Titan Coaching gives you a fast builder for your own exercises and videos, and nothing pre-written.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Build your own exercises with sets, reps or time, rest, weight and notes, singly or grouped as Versatile exercises for supersets, tri-sets and cluster sets
- Two switches per exercise: comprehensive updates (sets and reps logged) and unilateral updates (left and right logged separately)
- Upload your own demonstration videos, up to 500 MB, captioned automatically in Basecamp; or link a YouTube video
- Copy a whole workout or a single exercise to another client; folders with colours, icons and a description the client reads
- Build a whole block in Basecamp on a big screen, with last-viewed, views and engagement shown on every workout and exercise
TrueCoach
- Library of 3,000+ professionally recorded exercise videos, plus your own uploads
- Drag-and-drop builder for AMRAPs, circuits and strength sets
- Workout templates copied and pasted between clients, and pre-made programmes in Resources
- Any workout exported as a printable PDF
- Custom notes on individual exercises and circuits
More on Building programmes
This is a difference in philosophy rather than a missing feature. Workout Titan Coaching assumes the coach writes the programme and films the demonstrations, and makes that quick: exercises are created once and copied between clients, and videos uploaded through Basecamp are captioned for you when you speak over them. TrueCoach assumes a coach may want to start from a library, and its 3,000 videos and templates save a great deal of time if you are starting out or coaching a lot of general-population clients. If you already have your own system and your own footage, the library matters less than the speed of the builder.
Coaching from a desk
TieBoth are built for coaching from a browser; TrueCoach’s dashboard adds payments and wearable data, while Basecamp puts more of each client’s training on one screen and is built for working across several clients at once.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Basecamp: every client as a card with workouts, exercises, updates, engagement, weight, steps, sign-in streak and Academy lessons, sortable by least recently active
- Tabs for every open panel, colour-coded by client, so you move between clients without losing your place
- Up to 12 sticky notes on the workspace, and one search across clients, workouts, exercises, forms, videos and habits with Cmd+K
- Per exercise: volume, top set, estimated one-rep max and a volume trend from the client’s logged sets
- Who is online right now, and a nutrition week view with a meals-by-day grid
TrueCoach
- Web dashboard for programming, messaging and client management, plus the TrueCoach Connect app for coaching from a phone
- Client dashboard with compliance tracking and alerts when a client starts missing workouts
- Wearable data (sleep, resting heart rate, steps) on the dashboard on Standard and Pro
- Payments and a public coach profile managed from the same place
- Zapier automations on Standard and Pro
More on Coaching from a desk
Basecamp is the same account and the same data as the phone app, in a browser, for coaches only. It shows things the phone does not, such as an estimated one-rep max from each client’s sets, caption status on every video and a filterable client grid. TrueCoach’s web app is where most of its coaches work too, and it adds the business layer: payments, a storefront and wearable data. Basecamp goes deeper on the training data, TrueCoach goes wider, so this is a tie.
Nutrition coaching
TieTrueCoach tracks macros through MyFitnessPal and delivers meal plans as documents; Workout Titan Coaching gives clients its own free logging app that shows where every number came from.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Workout Titan Nutrition is a separate app, free for clients with no time limit
- You set calorie and macro targets, daily or weekly, in grams or percent, plus a weight goal with a rate and target date
- Food, weight and end-of-day notes reach your dashboard as they are logged; Basecamp adds a week view with a metrics table and meals by day
- Every entry shows its source and a confidence rating; clients can stop sharing at any time
- Unlimited AI scanning included for your clients on Performance and Infinity
TrueCoach
- MyFitnessPal integration for calorie and macro tracking
- Customisable macro goals per client
- Meal plans delivered through the Documents feature, plus an AI meal plan generator
- Advanced nutrition tracking on Standard and Pro
- Precision Nutrition certification partnership
More on Nutrition coaching
TrueCoach relies on MyFitnessPal for the logging, which means your client’s food data lives in a third app and arrives as totals. Workout Titan Nutrition is Workout Titan’s own app: you see each meal and each item, with its source and how confident the estimate is. If you write meal plans, TrueCoach does something Workout Titan does not: it will generate and deliver them. Workout Titan deliberately stops at targets and logging. Clients who log every day will want unlimited scanning, which is £8.99 a month on their own or included through a coach on Performance or Infinity.
Payments, wearables and branding
Winner: TrueCoachTrueCoach takes payments at no extra charge in four countries, reads seven wearable platforms and brands the client app; Workout Titan Coaching does none of these and says so.
Workout Titan Coaching
- No payment processing: a per-client overdue-payment reminder you switch on yourself is the whole feature
- No branded app; clients use the Workout Titan Coaching app
- Steps from Apple Health or Health Connect, with a daily target; no other wearable data
- Tag clients as online, in person or hybrid, and filter the Basecamp grid by it
- Public check-in forms with a shareable link, for enquiries and screening (paid plans)
TrueCoach
- TrueCoach Payments, powered by Stripe, for one-off and recurring payments in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, included on every plan
- Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, Google Fit, Polar, Apple Health and WHOOP: sleep, resting heart rate and steps (Standard and Pro)
- Custom-branded client app with your logo and colours (Standard and Pro)
- Public coach profile and storefront
- Zapier business automations (Standard and Pro)
More on Payments, wearables and branding
If you want one platform to run the business as well as the coaching, this section decides it: TrueCoach wins outright, and unlike some rivals it does not charge a monthly fee for the payments feature. Workout Titan’s position is that invoicing and payments are already handled well by tools coaches have, and that the coaching app should be free of them. On wearables the gap is real: Workout Titan reads daily steps and nothing else, on the view that wrist estimates of energy and sleep are too rough to coach from, while TrueCoach shows sleep and resting heart rate from seven platforms.
Offline use and languages
Winner: Workout Titan CoachingWorkout Titan Coaching works without signal and in six languages; TrueCoach recommends printing a PDF for poor signal and its help centre says it is available in English only.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Log sets, weight, measurements, habits and messages with no signal; they send when you reconnect and keep the time you logged them
- Recently opened workouts stay on the phone for about a week
- English (UK and US), German, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, in the app and in Basecamp
- iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later), Android 8 or later, and Basecamp in any modern browser
- Steps and watch data arrive through Apple Health or Health Connect; there is no watch app
TrueCoach
- No offline mode found; TrueCoach suggests saving a workout as a PDF for when signal is spotty
- “Only available in English at this time”, per TrueCoach’s help centre; the App Store listing also lists Spanish and Chinese
- iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android client apps, a separate TrueCoach Connect app for coaches, and the web
- Rated 4.8 from 16,000 ratings on the UK App Store
- Wearables via Apple Health, Google Fit and direct Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, Polar and WHOOP connections
More on Offline use and languages
Gyms have poor signal, and a client who cannot log a set is a client who does not log it. Workout Titan Coaching tells you when you are offline, keeps what you have opened, and queues what you log. Anything that changes a programme rather than logs against it still needs a connection. On languages, TrueCoach’s own sources disagree: its help centre says English only, while its App Store listing names Spanish and two forms of Chinese. We have gone with the help centre and marked the cell accordingly. For Workout Titan, the point is the client’s app, not yours: a German-speaking client of an English-speaking coach gets the app in German.
Check-ins and progress
TieBoth track weight, measurements, habits and photos; TrueCoach adds milestone badges, compliance alerts and group messaging, while Workout Titan Coaching goes further on what each set and each check-in tells you.
Workout Titan Coaching
- Recurring check-in forms with six question types, weekly, monthly or quarterly, each question required or optional (Performance and above)
- Every set logged with RPE, warm-up sets and rest timers; substitutions logged honestly rather than left blank; a personal-best marker on each exercise chart
- Weight in kg, lb or stone; eight body measurements in cm or inches; six months of trend charts
- Progress photos stored privately with location data stripped, compared side by side, and switchable per client
- Habits ticked daily, with a four-week heatmap and 30-day rate in Basecamp; one-to-one messaging with read receipts
TrueCoach
- Habits on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule
- Milestone badges when clients hit workout landmarks
- Compliance tracking with alerts when a client starts missing sessions
- Group messaging with photos, videos and GIFs
- Progress photos, body metrics, and reps, weight and heart-rate progression
More on Check-ins and progress
TrueCoach leans on motivation and oversight: badges for the client, compliance alerts for the coach, and groups for community. Workout Titan Coaching leans on the data in each session: RPE on every set, substitutions recorded as such, an estimated one-rep max in Basecamp, and forms that ask the same questions on a schedule so check-ins do not run through a chat thread. Sign-in is passwordless, by Apple, Google or an emailed link, and clients can delete their account from inside the app with a 14-day cooling-off period. TrueCoach’s equivalents were not stated on the pages we checked.

Frequently asked questions
Is Workout Titan Coaching cheaper than TrueCoach?
Yes, at every roster size. Workout Titan Coaching is free for 3 clients where TrueCoach has no free plan; at 5 clients Momentum is £19.99 a month against TrueCoach’s Starter at $26.34 paid annually; and Performance covers 25 clients for £39.99 against Standard’s 20 clients for $57.99. What TrueCoach’s price buys that Workout Titan’s does not is built-in payments, wearable data and a branded app. Prices checked 24 September 2026.
What is Basecamp, and does it cost extra?
Basecamp is Workout Titan Coaching in a browser, for coaches only. It uses the same account and data as the phone app, so nothing is set up twice, and it is included on every plan, Foundation included. It is built for desk work: a grid of every client with their numbers, tabs for working across several clients, sticky notes, one search across everything, video uploads with automatic captions, the form builder and the nutrition week view. Clients never use it; they only need the app.
Can I move my clients from TrueCoach to Workout Titan Coaching?
There is no import. You rebuild programmes in Workout Titan Coaching, which is quicker than it sounds because an exercise is created once and copied between clients, and Basecamp lets you build a whole block on a big screen. TrueCoach can export any workout as a PDF, which is a useful reference while you rebuild. Then invite each client from the app; they have 24 hours to download it and finish signing up. Most coaches move a few clients at a time while the rest finish their current block.
Does Workout Titan Coaching take payments from clients?
No. Workout Titan Coaching does not process payments or know whether a client has paid you. There is a per-client payment reminder you switch on yourself, which shows the client an overdue notice, and that is the whole feature. TrueCoach Payments, powered by Stripe, takes one-off and recurring payments inside the platform for coaches in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, with no platform fee on top of the plan price.
Does TrueCoach have a free plan?
No. TrueCoach offers a 14-day free trial with no card required, then Starter at $26.34 a month paid annually for up to 5 clients. First-time annual subscribers get a 90-day money-back guarantee. Workout Titan Coaching’s Foundation plan is free for three clients for as long as you like and includes every coaching feature and Basecamp; check-in forms and video uploads past the first five need a paid plan.
Does Workout Titan Coaching have an exercise library?
No. You create your own exercises and attach your own videos, or link to a YouTube video. TrueCoach supplies more than 3,000 professionally recorded demonstrations plus workout templates, which is a genuine advantage if you are starting out or would rather not film demonstrations.
Which one works without signal?
Workout Titan Coaching. Clients can post sets, log weight, tick habits and send messages with no connection; the app keeps them and sends them when signal returns, with the time they were logged. We found no offline mode for TrueCoach; its help centre suggests saving a workout as a PDF for when signal is spotty.

How we compare
We build Workout Titan Coaching, so this page cannot be neutral. What it can be is fair. Every fact about TrueCoach comes from its own website and app store listings, checked on 24 September 2026, and we link to them so you can see for yourself. Each section names a winner, including TrueCoach where it does the better job, and says so when it is a tie. Nothing here is a rating or a review of TrueCoach: it is a description of what each app does, in the same words for both.
