"Nothing found" or "No results. Try a different name or add a photo" means the lookup came back empty. It is nearly always fixable, and the order you try things in matters.
Change how you named it
Most empty searches are a naming problem rather than a missing food.
- Drop the brand. "Greek yogurt" finds plenty where a supermarket's store-brand name finds nothing.
- Use the plain name for the food, not the name of the dish. "Chicken thigh" rather than "Sunday chicken".
- Try fewer words. Long descriptions narrow the search rather than sharpening it.
- Check the spelling of unfamiliar or foreign food names.
Use the barcode
If the food has a package, type the barcode number into the same search box, or photograph the front of the package and let Workout Titan Nutrition detect it. A barcode identifies one specific product where a name is a guess, and it often finds a product a name search missed entirely.
Photograph the label instead
Nothing needs to exist in any database for this to work. Nutrition reads the panel on the label directly. It is the reliable answer for local products, imported goods and anything a public database has never heard of.
"Couldn't read the label"
A different failure with a different fix. The photograph is the problem, not the food. Retake the nutrition panel: fill the frame with the table, flatten the packaging, use the flashlight, and make sure the column headings are in the shot. Read label again re-runs it without starting over.
Build it from parts
For a home-cooked dish nothing will ever have an entry for, log the ingredients separately (100 g rice, 150 g chicken, a tablespoon of oil), then save the result to your cookbook. It takes a few minutes once, and the numbers come from the ingredients rather than an estimate of the finished plate.
Log something close and correct it
The last resort, and a perfectly good one. Find a generic version of the food, log it, then edit the nutritional values to match your package. Your corrected version is saved and comes back first the next time you search.
The wrong result keeps appearing
A different problem from nothing at all. Use Hide this result and it stops appearing for that search term, so a query you use often gets cleaner each time you tidy it.
Other messages that are not this
- Too many searches: a short rate limit. Wait a moment and try again.
- No connection: lookups need the network. Nothing is lost, so try again when you are back online.
- Food lookup limit reached: not an empty search. You have used your free allowance of lookups.
