  • Managing your video libraryViews, likes and caption status on every clip. What the four caption badges mean, and why deleting a video is the one action here you cannot take back.
  • Uploading a videoDrag a file in from your desktop, give it a title and a description, and wait for processing. Talk over the video if you can, because speech is captioned automatically.
  • Writing a video descriptionThe description is not a summary. For a client who cannot see the video it replaces watching entirely. That is why it is required, and why a title is not enough.

Recommended video settings for uploads

The formats, resolutions and frame rates that upload and play back reliably, the 500 MB file size limit, and what to do when a video fails to process.

Topics: Videos

Uploading videos to Workout Titan works differently from TikTok or Instagram. Use a stable internet connection, and expect a wait while the file processes. The settings below are the ones that process fastest and play back most reliably for your clients.

Recommended format

Export with these settings for the widest compatibility:

  • File type (container): MP4 (preferred) or MOV
  • Video codec: H.264
  • Audio codec: AAC

These settings work consistently across iOS, Android and web browsers, and typically process faster than HEVC/H.265 or other "pro" formats. When in doubt, use MP4 with H.264.

Resolution and aspect ratio

Workout Titan supports uploads up to 4K, but 1080p is usually the best balance of quality and file size.

  • Recommended resolution: 1080p (1920×1080)
  • Optional (larger files): 4K (3840×2160)
  • Aspect ratio:
    • 16:9 (landscape): ideal for most coaching and instructional videos
    • 9:16 (portrait): best if you are filming for mobile viewing, such as Reels or TikTok-style content. A common export size is 1080×1920.

Frame rate (FPS)

  • Recommended: 30 FPS or 60 FPS
  • Avoid if possible: Variable frame rate exports, which can occasionally cause audio sync issues during processing

A constant frame rate keeps your audio and video in sync from start to finish.

Colour and dynamic range (HDR vs SDR)

  • Recommended: SDR (Standard Dynamic Range)

Some devices (especially iPhones) record in HDR by default. HDR uploads are more likely to fail processing or display colours incorrectly on certain screens.

If you're seeing failed uploads or unusual colours, try:

  • Disabling HDR in your camera settings, or
  • Exporting your final video as SDR / Rec.709 from your editor

File size limit

  • Maximum: 500 MB per video

If your export exceeds 500 MB, you can bring it down by:

  • Exporting at 1080p instead of 4K, or
  • Reducing the bitrate in your editor

How many videos you can upload

Separate from file size, there is a limit on how many videos a free plan can upload. Coaching accounts on the free plan get 5 uploads in total. Once you reach it, the Upload video option says so and points you to an upgrade, rather than failing partway through an upload.

Paid plans lift the limit. You can see and change your plan in Manage account, under Subscription. Videos you have already uploaded are never removed if your plan changes.

Connection tips

  • Upload over reliable Wi-Fi whenever possible. This helps avoid interruptions and speeds up the process.
  • Be patient after the progress bar hits 100%. Processing can still take a few minutes. You will see a "Processing" status until the video is ready.

Uploading via Basecamp

Coaches can also upload and manage videos through Basecamp, our web platform built for coaches. This helps when you:

  • Are working from a laptop or desktop
  • Want to drag-and-drop multiple files at once
  • Need to review and organise your entire video library in one place

Troubleshooting

Upload stuck or paused

  • Keep Workout Titan open if you can.
  • If your connection drops, the upload should resume automatically once you are back online.

Video disappears after upload

This usually means the file did not pass the processing service's checks. Common causes are a corrupt file, an unsupported export format, or HDR encoding.

Quick fix: Re-export your video as MP4 + H.264 + AAC in SDR, then upload again. This resolves the issue in most cases.

Workout Titan

Two apps, one focus: fitness done properly. Coaching gives trainers powerful programmes, live progress and instant adjustments. Nutrition turns your camera into a food log. Scan a pack, a label or your meal and the numbers are done.
