What Workout Titan Nutrition does

Workout Titan Nutrition logs what you eat, works out the calories and macros, and shows the day against your goals. Here is what it tracks, where AI is involved, and what it deliberately does not do.

Topics: Getting started

Workout Titan Nutrition is a food logging app. You record what you eat, it works out the calories and macros, and it shows the day against the goals you set. Alongside food it can track your weight, your hydration, your fasts and a short note on how the day went.

Most of the numbers come from AI models or from the Open Food Facts database, so they are estimates rather than measurements. That shapes how to read them, and everything below is built on it.

Four ways to log a food

Whichever you use, the food lands in one of four meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snacks.

  • Search by food name or by typing a barcode number.
  • Scan pack: photograph the front of the packaging and then the nutrition panel. Barcodes are detected automatically.
  • Snap meal: photograph a whole plate and get an estimate for it. Useful for home cooking and restaurant food, which have no label to read.
  • Quick add: pick from your cookbook of saved meals, or from suggestions drawn from what you have logged before.

What it tracks besides food

All of this is optional. Nothing here is required to log a meal, and ignoring a feature costs you nothing elsewhere.

  • Weight: logged in kilograms, pounds or stone, charted over the last six months.
  • Hydration: presets of 250 ml, 500 ml, 750 ml and 1 L, or a custom amount, with caffeinated drinks flagged separately.
  • Fasting: plans from 12 to 20 hours with a live countdown, stages and a history.
  • End of day: a five-point rating for the day and a free-text note.
  • Five-a-day: fruit and vegetable portions, counted from what you log.

The goals you can set

Under Preferences you can set a calorie goal, macro goals for carbohydrate, protein and fat, and a daily hydration goal. Calorie and macro goals can be daily or weekly totals, and macros can be set in grams or as a percentage of calories.

You do not have to work the numbers out yourself. Fill in your sex, date of birth, height, current weight and activity level, and the app estimates your resting rate and maintenance calories using the Harris-Benedict equation. It then adjusts that for whether you want to lose, maintain or gain. Tap Use these goals to accept it, or type your own over the top.

Every goal is optional. Leave one blank and the app simply stops showing progress for it.

Where AI comes in

Searching a food, reading a label from a photo and estimating a meal all run through the same lookup. It checks several sources in turn: your own saved foods, your recent meals, Open Food Facts, and AI models. The app shows which sources it used and a confidence rating with each result, and flags the parts it is least sure about.

Free includes everything in the app, with a starter allowance of 5 photo scans and 5 food lookups. That allowance is a total rather than a monthly one. Pro includes photo scans and food lookups with no allowance to run down, plus a daily summary that reads your day back to you. If you are connected to a coach, their plan usually covers Pro for you.

If you have a coach

When nutrition sharing is on, your coach sees new food logs, weight entries and end-of-day notes, and they set your calorie and macro goals. You can turn sharing off at any time in Manage account. Nothing you log while sharing is off is ever shared later, even if you turn it back on.

What it is not

It is not medical advice, and it is not a measurement. A logged day is an estimate built from other estimates: a database entry someone else typed, a label photographed at an angle, a model working out a portion size from a photo. Treat the numbers as a consistent way to compare one week with the next, rather than a true reading of what you ate.

You need to be 16 or over to use it, and the app asks you to confirm that during setup.

Workout Titan

Two apps, one focus: fitness done properly. Coaching gives trainers powerful programmes, live progress and instant adjustments. Nutrition turns your camera into a food log. Scan a pack, a label or your meal and the numbers are done.
