Tracking & trends

  • End-of-day notes and ratingsClose a day with a rating of how it went and a short note. It is the one place in the app for the things a calorie count cannot record, and the part a coach reads first.
  • Fasting: plans, stages and safetyPlans from 12 to 20 hours with a live countdown. Read the safety list first, because Nutrition requires it, and treat the stage timings as averages rather than a reading of your body.
  • Logging hydration, including caffeinated drinksFour presets or a custom amount, with a flag for anything caffeinated. Every log adds to that day's total, and the chart holds six months.
  • Logging your weightLog in kilograms, pounds, or stone and pounds. Everything is charted in kilograms over six months, and your latest entry becomes the current weight your calorie estimate uses.
  • Reading the week viewSeven days at once, per nutrient, against your goals. What the GOAL, FOOD and LEFT columns mean, why some days are grey, and why exercise calories are always zero.
  • Reminders and notification schedulesFive ready-made reminders or your own, daily, weekly or once. Turn push notifications on first, or the schedules save but never deliver.

Logging your weight

Log in kilograms, pounds, or stone and pounds. Everything is charted in kilograms over six months, and your latest entry becomes the current weight your calorie estimate uses.

Topics: Tracking & trends

Weight lives behind the More menu in Workout Titan Nutrition. It does two jobs: it draws your trend over the last six months, and its most recent entry becomes the current weight that your calorie estimate is built on.

Logging a weight

1. Open More, then Weight, and tap Log weight.

2. Pick your unit: kilograms, pounds, or stone and pounds.

3. Enter the figure and save. You will see "Weight logged".

Stone takes two fields, whole stone and the pounds separately, with pounds under 14 and at most one decimal place. Nutrition validates each part and tells you which one is wrong rather than rejecting the whole entry.

Units are stored as you typed them

Pounds and stone are kept as you entered them, and the chart converts everything to kilograms to draw it. So you can log in whatever you think in and still read one consistent trend line. Switching units never rewrites what you already logged.

The chart

Six months of history, and you swipe left or right to move through it. Your peak weight over the period is marked. Give it a moment after logging, because the chart can take a beat to refresh.

With nothing logged yet it says so and offers to log one, rather than showing an empty grid.

How often to weigh

Consistency matters more than frequency. Weigh at the same time of day, under the same conditions (typically first thing, after the toilet, before eating). That removes most of the noise that makes a chart unreadable.

A single day's weight is close to meaningless on its own. Water, salt, sleep, a heavy meal and where you are in your cycle can each move the scale by more than a week's genuine change. Read the shape of the line over a fortnight, not the difference between yesterday and today. A line that sits flat for a few weeks is normal, and it is not a sign that something has gone wrong. If daily weighing makes the trend hard to read calmly, weekly is a perfectly good answer.

It feeds your calorie estimate

Preferences takes your current weight from here rather than asking you to type it in twice, and names the date it came from. If your estimate looks stale, the usual reason is that your most recent weight log is older than you thought.

Deleting an entry

Swipe an entry in the list and delete it, confirming when asked. That is worth doing for a genuine mistake: a mistyped figure, or a weight logged with your shoes on. A number you did not expect is still a number, and the trend is easier to read when every entry stays in.

If weight logging is turned off

The Weight entry appears but is disabled, saying weight logging is managed by your coach. They can turn it back on, or you can turn nutrition sharing off in Manage account, which has other consequences worth reading about first.

Workout Titan

Two apps, one focus: fitness done properly. Coaching gives trainers powerful programmes, live progress and instant adjustments. Nutrition turns your camera into a food log. Scan a pack, a label or your meal and the numbers are done.
