Progress photos let you see changes that the scales and a tape measure miss. You add photos over time, and you and your coach can compare any two side by side. This article covers adding, viewing, comparing and deleting them, and who can see them.
Open your progress photos
On your Home screen, tap 'Progress photos'. You can also find it in the Home screen menu.
If you can't see it, your coach has turned progress photos off for you. Ask them if you'd like to use it.
Add photos
- Tap the plus button in 'Progress photos'.
- Tap 'Take photo' or 'Choose from library'. You can add up to four photos at a time.
- Choose a pose: Front, Side, Back or Other.
- Check the 'Date taken'. It is today unless you change it, so set it if you're adding older photos.
- Add a note if you like, such as 'morning, before breakfast'. Notes can be up to 280 characters.
- Tap 'Add photos'.
You need a connection to add photos. If an upload doesn't finish, your photos stay selected so you can try again.
Tips for photos you can compare
- Use the same place, light and time of day each time. Morning, before eating, is the most consistent.
- Stand the same distance from the camera, and keep the phone at the same height.
- Take the same poses each time, and pick the matching pose when you add them.
- Every two to four weeks is often enough. Changes are hard to see from one week to the next.
View and compare
Your photos are grouped by month, newest first. Tap a pose at the top to show only that pose.
Tap a photo to open it. Swipe to move between photos, pinch or double-tap to zoom, and read the date, pose, note and who added it under the photo.
To compare two photos, tap the compare button at the top right of the photo. Tap 'Before' or 'After', then pick a photo from the strip at the bottom for that side.
Photos you've already opened still show when you're offline.
Photos your coach adds
Your coach can add photos to your gallery too, for example after a check-in. They show 'Added by your coach'. You'll get a notification when your coach adds photos. You can turn this off in 'Manage account' > 'Notifications' under 'Progress photos'.
Delete a photo
Press and hold a photo in the gallery, or open it and tap delete. You can delete any photo of you, including ones your coach added. Deleting a photo removes it for you and your coach, and you can't undo this.
Who can see your photos
Your photos are private. Only you and your current coach can see them. They aren't public, and nobody else on Workout Titan can open them.
- The app resizes photos on your phone before they upload and removes location and camera details, so those never leave your phone.
- If you change coach, your new coach can see your photos and your previous coach can no longer see them.
- If you delete your account, your photos are deleted with it. Deleting your account explains how.
Progress photos are health information, and we only record them with your consent. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
